TRAIL 1
The Amphorae
This diving site is like an underwater museum. You will find an ancient wreck dating to the 4th century B.C., with amphorae used for shipping wine and oil. The amphorae originate from the island of Kos, as evidenced by the shape of their handles. The vase is conical to facilitate their transportation, usually done in sand. Continuing the dive, be sure to look carefully as you might encounter beautiful big groupers, who tend to hide quickly.
