The Cave of Stroggilo

This scenic trail leads us to the Stroggilo Cave, a beautiful and very accessible natural wonder located 18 meters below the surface of the sea. Inside the cave, you’ll discover a variety of sponges. There are 14 different types found in Syros. It’s worth noting that lionfish, which are not native to Greece, have appeared in Syros. These fish are invasive and can be harmful, so it’s important to be cautious and avoid touching them if you encounter one.
